About The Position

The Furnace Technician is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Cost and efficiency of the Furnace Area. The Furnace Technician needs to also work closely with other technicians operating the Batch, Bushing, and Forming process areas and maintenance technicians. The Furnace Technician will ultimately be responsible for the efficient operations of the Furnace production area and the ability to safely produce quality output. The Furnace Technician will have an in-depth knowledge of the Furnace feeding and melting procedures.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-Year Manufacturing experience
Flexibility to work overtime as scheduled, including weekends and holidays
Must be 18 years of age and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work around extreme heat safely.
Must be able to work in a wet environment safely.
Must be able to work around and operate machinery safely.
On call for the workshop.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the work environment.
Must be able to bend repeatedly.

Responsibilities

The Furnace Technician is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Cost and efficiency of the Furnace Area.
The Furnace Technician needs to also work closely with other technicians operating the Batch, Bushing, and Forming process areas and maintenance technicians.
The Furnace Technician will ultimately be responsible for the efficient operations of the Furnace production area and the ability to safely produce quality output while monitoring different systems throughout the melting process.
The Furnace Technician will have an in-depth knowledge of the Furnace feeding and melting procedures.
The Furnace Technician will be on an on-call schedule that may require overtime depending on business needs.
