Furnace Superintendent
About The Position
Veracity Ventures Inc. is looking for an experienced and driven Furnace Superintendent to join our team in Etowah, TN. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee furnace operations, guide a skilled crew, and help drive production excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing a 24/7 manufacturing operation, leading a large hourly workforce, driving production performance, maintaining safety and quality standards, troubleshooting operational issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of manufacturing management/operational leadership experience
- Experience managing hourly employees and large production teams
- Comfortable working in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment and handling after-hours operational issues
- Strong production, quality, raw-material, planning, scheduling, and cost-control experience
- Experience with process troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Strong OSHA, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience with productivity, asset utilization, labor management, and budgeting
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- Glass manufacturing, furnace operations, or similar manufacturing experience preferred
- SAP/ERP experience preferred
- Union workforce experience preferred
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering, Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered
- Willingness to relocate to Etowah, Tennessee if needed.
