About The Position

The Funshine Early Learning Teacher serves under the general supervision of the Funshine Early Learning Center Coordinator and works alongside classroom aides to provide a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. The teacher leads classroom activities, supervision, preparation, and the day-to-day needs of the Early Learning Center Program. This is a part-time, non-exempt, non-benefitted position. We are currently hiring for our morning classes, Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent required.
• Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds when required.
• Good public relations skills and customer service skills.
• Be able to work with children and their families.
• Ability to work with all ages.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public.
• Individuals must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Early Childhood Education coursework, or related experience preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and conduct daily classroom activities.
• Supervise and interact with children in a positive and supportive manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
• Support children's social, emotional, and educational development.
• Follow all safety and center policies.
• Attend any special events, activities, and all staff meetings.
