About The Position

Funeral Service Operatives are calm, professional, and play a vital role in the service offered by Chris White Funeral Directors. They are often the first point of contact for families, providing reassurance and ensuring the deceased are cared for with sensitivity and professionalism. Operatives work behind the scenes in the mortuary, fitting coffins, and dressing the deceased, as well as participating in funeral services and pallbearing to ensure smooth execution. The role requires driving company vehicles and participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota for additional payments. This role can be challenging yet rewarding, with potential for progression to roles like Funeral Director.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm and professional.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
