About The Position

A family-owned firm and leader in funeral service serving metro Detroit through three locations in Troy and Royal Oak, seeks a full-time funeral service associate who is committed to exceeding expectations while being engaged, dynamic and able to excel in all aspects of funeral service. Requirements

Possess and display an understanding of the funeral profession
Have adaptive/team player attitude
Have professional self-presentation
Have pleasant phone manner
Be resourceful and able to multi task
Be able to stand for extended periods of time
Be able to lift and move 50 pounds routinely and up to 15 pounds of force frequently
Possess a valid driver’s license and have an insurable driving record
Strong communication skills
Tact and ability to perform in dynamic and sometimes stressful conditions

Responsibilities

Assisting grieving families while showing continual care and concern
Answering phones
Greeting and directing visitors
Transporting deceased to and from funeral homes as directed
Preparing space for and attending to funeral services
Receiving and moving flower arrangements
Supporting and assisting funeral directors to insure the highest quality, most professional, most ethical service
Monitoring parking lot activities; prepared to direct traffic
Efficiently planning driving routes and arriving at destinations as scheduled
