About The Position

This is an expression of interest for future opportunities as a Funeral Home Transfer Care Specialist. The role involves being the first point of contact for families, transporting the deceased from various locations to the funeral home. The specialist must maintain composure, compassion, and kindness in challenging situations. Requirements include being at least 21 years old, able to safely lift 100lbs, and possessing a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
• Ability to lift 100lbs safely
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Composure and compassion
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and receive/apply constructive feedback with a positive attitude
• Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes

Responsibilities

• Respectfully answer questions and direct Families to appropriate resources upon arrival and departure for transfer of the decedent.
• Navigate local roads and highways with varying traffic, time of day/night, and weather conditions; familiar with GPS or direction apps.
• Willing to work irregular hours as needed (on-call), including nights and weekends; filling in for funeral attendants and full-time staff shifts to drive hearse as needed.
• Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per relevant laws and regulations.
• Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptly.
• Maintain neat and presentable appearance; perform other projects and duties as needed (such as washing vehicles).
