The Funeral Home/Cemetery Manager is responsible for all facets of funeral home and cemetery operations in the medium sized Roller operations. This role manages the day-to-day operations of the funeral home and cemeteries, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The manager meets with bereaved families to make funeral arrangements and select merchandise, ensuring services are conducted compassionately and professionally. Responsibilities include maintaining the building, equipment, and vehicles, preparing reports for the home office, purchasing and managing stock of merchandise and supplies, and negotiating with vendors. The manager also participates in community functions, stays updated on regulatory changes, and serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies. Additionally, the role involves training, supervising, and motivating funeral home personnel, and driving funeral service and transfer vehicles as required. Other duties include obtaining vital information for obituaries and claims, assisting with financial arrangements, performing removals, embalming, cosmetology services (if dual licensed), and counseling clients regarding pre-arrangements.
