About The Position

The Funding Team Lead will be responsible for understanding loan origination policies, procedures, and guidelines with an eye toward continual improvement. This role involves completing funding audits accurately and precisely, assisting with the funding queue during high-volume periods, and handling escalated issues when the funding manager is unavailable. The Team Lead will provide guidance and training to colleagues, ensure compliance with funding regulations and guidelines, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the funding department. Collaboration with other departments is key to ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient funding. Additionally, the role involves identifying and mitigating potential risks within the funding process. Requirements

  • Ability to understand and interpret lending policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to de-escalate calls and communicate professionally with third-parties, customers and co-workers
  • Comfortable training, speaking in front of groups and addressing issues as needed
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, or funding agency environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in financial matters
