About The Position
PRC-Saltillo seeks a Funding Specialist to help individuals obtain access to communication devices. The role manages and processes funding applications through Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, working with customers, insurance providers, and internal teams to support timely, accurate funding approvals. The position supports the company’s mission of providing communication tools to children and adults who cannot communicate effectively using their natural voices.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence, calm, and problem-solve with customers.
- Expert listening skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to maintain a positive, solution-oriented mindset during high-stress situations.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Process funding applications for a designated region from receipt through order confirmation.
- Enter new funding applications into the database and review submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with customers, clinical teams, and internal staff to provide status updates and ensure alignment.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits using web portals, phone calls, and third-party software.
