About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Funding Specialist to join their team. This role involves working with project and funding teams to assess eligibility and competitiveness for state and federal grant and loan programs. The specialist will prepare applications, track spending, process draws for design and construction, and ensure funding program requirements are met. Collaboration with fiscal officers, auditor offices, and other accounting and billing staff is essential for gathering financial information for funding applications.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in government finance or accounting, grant writing, construction administration or funding administration, or environmental planning.
2+ years experience working with state, federal and local governments.
Proficient using MS Excel software, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft products.
Able to read and interpret financial reports.

Responsibilities

Identify potential sources of funding and assess eligibility and competitiveness of projects to develop a funding strategy.
Write grants and prepare subsidized loan applications for state and federal programs, ensuring application milestones and deadlines are met.
Develop financial projection schedules and coordinate with other Financial Advisory Services staff to assess affordability and future revenue needs.
Facilitate environmental reviews and assessments, coordinating studies and engaging environmental experts and consultants.
Assist clients in drawing and tracking funds from state and federal loan and grant programs and administering funds to ensure program requirements are met.
Research and stay abreast of new funding opportunities and changes to existing programs.
