About The Position

We’re seeking a Funding Specialist ready to make a meaningful impact in our lending operations. This individual will report to, and work hand in hand with, the SVP of Secondary Markets to partner with warehouse banks, closing team, processing team, and third-party title companies to ensure accurate and timely fundings of all loan originations. Responsibilities will be diverse as they will include all aspects of the closing and funding cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1+ years of relevant experience (entry Level is acceptable)
• Mortgage or lending experience preferred but not required
• Strong experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel and proficient experience with PowerPoint
• Exceptional time management, prioritization and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing situations; comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and all warehouse banking relationships and processes as well as a high-level understanding of loan products
• Must work well both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer and not require sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Upload loan files into the warehouse software system daily
• Manage upload tracker and expected closing report for all departments
• Quickly and accurately provide loan diligence files to warehouses
• Effectively communicate with operations to complete loan uploads in a timely manner.
• High level of understanding of Lima One Capital’s loan products and Underwriting Guidelines
• Work with outside counterparties during loan closings to ensure smooth and timely closings take place
• High sense of urgency for fast-paced closings
• Complete end of month audit on fundings of all loan products
• Achieve proficiency in Lima One’s loan software and database systems
• Complete Warehouse Cutouts daily
• Complete Projections daily
• Help Capital Markets team when able
