About The Position

The Fund & Investment Operations Analyst, Senior Associate role on the Derivatives & Collateral Management team plays a critical role in protecting Vanguard funds by ensuring appropriate collateral is exchanged with some of the world's largest financial institutions. This team serves as a key control point between investment, trading, and external counterparties, helping to mitigate risk and support the firm's derivatives activity. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to financial markets, derivatives, risk management, and investment operations while working in a collaborative environment. The role involves driving process improvements, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and developing expertise in a specialized area that directly supports Vanguard's investment business.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related degree preferred
• Experience with derivatives and/or collateral management is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Manage daily collateral operations and relationships with assigned broker-dealers and custodians.
• Investigate and resolve operational breaks, reconciliation differences, and complex exceptions.
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, controls, and risk management.
• Partner with internal teams and external organizations to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and help strengthen procedures, controls, and team knowledge.
