Fund Financing Solutions (“FFS”) extends financing to private capital funds secured against fund collateral (NAV and borrowing-base facilities). We are seeking an VP in Asset Management to own post-close collateral surveillance, covenant monitoring and collateral performance analysis for the Equity Funds Financing portfolio. The role is Front Office and accountable for collateral tracking integrity, covenant and concentration-limit monitoring, collateral performance analysis, and portfolio risk reporting. It partners with the FFS Deal Team on collateral performance and works closely with Operations, which reconciles and processes the borrowing base report into the system — this role exercises credit and commercial judgment over the resulting collateral position.

Requirements

  • 3–8 years in fund finance, leveraged/structured finance, credit middle office, loan agency or fund administration; prior exposure to NAV or subscription/borrowing-base facilities preferred.
  • Able to read and apply credit agreement terms — borrowing base mechanics, concentration limits, LTV tests, eligibility criteria and covenants — with a working knowledge of private capital fund structures and the NAV/valuation drivers of collateral value.
  • Advanced Excel, Python, and proficiency with collateral systems (ProMerit, LoanIQ or equivalents) required; Preqin or comparable data sources is a plus.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong control discipline — able to challenge data, run independent checks, and translate collateral and valuation data into clear risk conclusions.
  • Commercially minded and organized — comfortable exercising judgment and engaging directly with sponsors, lenders and internal stakeholders, while managing recurring reporting cycles alongside ad-hoc deal work.
  • Entrepreneurial and curious about applying AI/ML and data-analytics tools to portfolio monitoring, trend identification and anomaly detection.

Nice To Haves

  • prior exposure to NAV or subscription/borrowing-base facilities preferred.
  • Preqin or comparable data sources is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Apply credit and commercial judgment to borrowing base inputs processed by Operations: assess NAV, cash balances and haircuts against concentration limits, and confirm the resulting collateral position.
  • Monitor maximum LTV, concentration limits and other key covenants across the portfolio; distribute the bi-weekly monitoring report and alert the Deal Team to actual or potential breaches.
  • Review reconciliation of outstanding loan balances to books & records (LoanIQ); confirm upsizes, paydowns and payoffs are reflected in the system.
  • Resolve reconciliation breaks with Operations; escalate to the Deal Team where credit terms or collateral eligibility are in question.
  • Perform quarterly portfolio-wide quality checks of calculations, borrowing bases and fund financial statements on a sampled basis, and periodically reconcile loan positions across the portfolio to confirm data integrity.
  • Working in tandem with the FFS team, communicate with external stakeholders (borrowers, rating agencies, loan administrators, etc.) to address collateral and reporting questions and requests
  • Build analytics to track collateral performance, exposure and utilization trends across the portfolio, sharing insights with the Deal Team.
  • Develop forward-looking indicators — trend and scenario analysis — to anticipate covenant pressure, rising utilization or collateral deterioration ahead of a breach.
  • Work directly with the Deal Team to resolve covenant breaches, high-utilization facilities and other collateral-related issues.
  • Join Deal Team calls with sponsors on collateral performance or covenant matters as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of NAV lending and fund finance market trends, precedent terms and peer structures to inform portfolio and covenant-relief decisions.
  • Track public mark-to-market and private-sector exposures across the portfolio.
  • Maintain public equity hedge inputs in ProMerit (fund value, initial share price, share quantity) to support mark-to-market monitoring via the Equities Dashboard.
  • Track NAV for portfolio companies held by PE funds; run the Fund Valuation Monitoring Report to flag material period-over-period NAV movements.
  • Prepare portfolio-level statistics for the FFS Quarterly Business Update.
  • Review deal structure and key terms in each credit agreement; configure ProMerit to track collateral and monitor associated covenants.
  • Establish the document-tracking schedule per credit agreement and oversee required and trailing documentation, in coordination with Operations.
  • Maintain a master investment data repository — standardizing fund naming and leveraging Preqin as an independent source for key investment attributes used in concentration-limit monitoring.
  • Monitor look-through exposure to underlying portfolio companies to support concentration and single-name risk assessment.
  • Supervise and review the monitoring output of Analysts / Associates on the team.
  • Act as primary point of contact for Internal Audit and Compliance on the collateral-monitoring framework; own and maintain the underlying policies and procedures.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to the role — proactively identify opportunities to modernize monitoring processes rather than waiting on direction.
  • Enhance monitoring tools and data quality — e.g., build out historical net-distributions tracking in ProMerit to flag inconsistencies.
  • Apply AI-enabled analytics tools to perform trend analysis across collateral, NAV and utilization data, and to flag anomalies or outliers for further review.
