About The Position

The Fund Financial Operations (FFO) team is responsible for financial oversight, reporting, and investor servicing. FFO collaborates with various internal teams such as Portfolio Management, Global Investors Group, Performance Reporting, and Risk and Compliance, as well as external fund administrators. This hands-on internship offers practical training, exposure to different business lines, and opportunities to interact with leadership. The FFO Intern will gain real-world experience by understanding investor and consultant reporting, working closely with the FFO team, and interacting with senior management. The intern will learn about the investment vehicles managed by Affinius Capital and the diverse real estate attribution reporting and accounting metrics provided to investors and consultants. The environment is designed to nurture and challenge, providing career-building experience.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Senior or Graduate First-Year with a degree focus in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics (GPA 3.0 or above)
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Familiarity with or exposure to automation and data tools
  • Superior organization and attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy
  • Demonstrates initiative and strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines and work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of internal employees
  • Exceptional decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions
  • Genuine curiosity for how technology can enhance financial reporting processes and outcomes
  • Available for work 40 hours/week on-site in San Antonio from June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of ad hoc investor capital calls and distribution notices
  • Quarterly investor reporting
  • Quarterly and ad hoc supplementary reporting
  • Quarterly investor portal data import/validation
  • Data attribution projects
  • Other ad hoc projects and related responsibilities as assigned
