About The Position

The Fund Development Manager is a support person for SEEDS’ fundraising activities. The role coordinates grant management, annual giving, donor stewardship, Salesforce activity, and special events. It is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works collaboratively, and brings attention to detail. The position reports to the Philanthropy Director and works closely with Program Directors, Accounting staff, leadership, and SEEDS’ contracted Salesforce specialist.

Requirements

  • Three to four years of experience in nonprofit development, grant management, fundraising operations, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM, or demonstrated ability to learn complex software quickly.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, organization, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, contributors, and details while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
  • Ability to collaborate across program, finance, and leadership roles.
  • Comfort using spreadsheets, shared documents, online grant portals, and cloud-based tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coordinating foundation, corporate, state, or federal grants.
  • Experience with annual giving, donor stewardship, fundraising events, or direct-mail campaigns.
  • Experience using Salesforce for donor management, grant tracking, or campaign reporting.
  • Familiarity with grant budgets, restricted funding, compliance, financial reporting, process improvement, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain SEEDS’ grant calendar and pipeline, including opportunities, deadlines, submissions, awards, reports, and renewals.
  • Coordinate proposals and reports from opportunity review through submission and post-award follow-through.
  • Draft and assemble letters of inquiry, proposals, reports, budgets, attachments, and other funder materials.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and subject matter experts to develop clear, accurate, and compelling applications.
  • Track grant requirements, improve workflows and templates, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
  • Support annual giving campaigns, especially fall activities, including timelines, donor lists, materials, follow-up, and results tracking.
  • Complete assigned stewardship activities, including acknowledgments, communications, reminders, and next steps.
  • Use Salesforce regularly to record activity, maintain constituent and campaign records, manage follow-up tasks, prepare reports, and improve workflows with SEEDS’ Salesforce specialist.
  • Support fundraising and community events through planning, logistics, materials, guest-list management, on-site assistance, and follow-up.
  • Provide project support during high-volume periods and participate in SEEDS team ecology, professional development, and skill-building activities.
