About The Position

The DWS Private Infrastructure business (“DWS Infrastructure”), acquires and manages Debt and Equity investments in businesses that provide essential Infrastructure services in the transport, energy, utilities, digital, circular economy and healthcare sectors. With investment teams located in Europe and the US, the business has a global footprint and is focused on managing infrastructure portfolios that can meet the needs of institutional investors and private clients worldwide. DWS Infrastructure has funds under management of approximately €20 billion. The US Infrastructure Debt platform currently manages in excess of $6 billion of committed capital through multiple credit funds and separately managed accounts. Since the inception of DWS Infrastructure’s US Debt business in 2014, the investment team has deployed capital into over 170 investments. The Fund CFO team is responsible for the fund accounting and specific investment operations tasks for investment vehicles to be launched and managed. The team ensure timely and accurate completion of vehicle financial statements, liaising with third service providers and interfacing with current and potential investors on information requests.

Requirements

  • Significant experience within alternative investment fund finance, with deep expertise across Infrastructure Debt, Private Credit, Infrastructure or Private Equity fund structures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams within a fund accounting, fund finance or fund operations environment.
  • Strong understanding of closed-end fund structures, investor allocations, capital call and distribution mechanics, partnership accounting and fund governance.
  • Proven experience overseeing fund financial statements, investor reporting, audits, tax reporting and regulatory requirements for institutional investment vehicles.
  • Ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making across investment, finance and operational functions.
  • Experience supporting complex transactions, fund launches, financing arrangements and strategic growth initiatives within an alternatives platform.
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to translate complex financial, legal and operational matters into clear business recommendations and action plans.
  • Exceptional organisational, project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel and fund reporting systems, with a track record of driving operational improvements through technology and process optimisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the US Infrastructure Debt Fund CFO team, providing direction, coaching and oversight across fund accounting, financial reporting, fund operations, governance and control activities.
  • Act as the senior financial and operational lead for the US Infrastructure Debt platform, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all fund-level accounting, reporting, governance and investor deliverables.
  • Own the end-to-end oversight of fund structures across multiple credit funds and separately managed accounts, ensuring adherence to fund documentation, regulatory requirements and investor obligations.
  • Partner closely with Investment, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, Compliance and Operations teams to support strategic business initiatives, fund launches, investment execution and platform growth.
  • Lead the review and approval of quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting packages, capital activity and performance disclosures.
  • Oversee key third-party service providers including fund administrators, auditors, tax advisers and other external partners, ensuring high standards of delivery and accountability.
  • Drive operational excellence through the enhancement of processes, controls, governance frameworks and technology solutions across the Fund CFO function.
  • Support transaction structuring, financing activities, new product development and complex fund initiatives, ensuring appropriate accounting and operational outcomes.
  • Manage fund liquidity, cash forecasting, facility oversight and capital planning to support investment deployment and investor distributions.
  • Serve as a senior representative of the Infrastructure Debt business with investors, regulators, auditors and internal governance committees as required.
