About The Position

A well-established and growing investment firm in Downtown Dallas is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to be involved in the financial reporting and operations of investment funds. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3+ years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous fund accounting, private equity, investment management, real estate investment, or alternative investment experience preferred.
Experience with accounting or fund management software is a plus.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds.
Maintain general ledger activity and perform account reconciliations.
Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Calculate and process capital calls, investor distributions, and partner allocations.
Assist with Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
Prepare supporting schedules for tax reporting and year-end financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Analyze financial results and prepare management reports.
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
