About The Position

Summit Federal Services, LLC (SFS) is seeking a Functional Area Expert (Network Analyst) to provide support to the CBL Battle Lab Facility located at Fort Gordon, GA. This role is contingent upon contract award and requires onsite work. The position will support the CBL mission by providing experimentation support to the C-CDID, integrating dynamic network experimentation with CO, DODIN-A, EW, and IA through various branches of the Cyber Battle Lab. The contract aims to provide support in the form of experiments, assessments, analyses, and network support to validate new technical solutions for capability gaps within modernization efforts. The Functional Area Expert (FAE) Network Analyst will act as a senior subject matter expert, responsible for analyzing, assessing, designing, and optimizing complex network architectures and communications systems. This role provides technical leadership and operational expertise in enterprise, tactical, cyber, intelligence, or defense network environments, advising stakeholders on network performance, modernization, cybersecurity, and mission-critical communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Typically 10–15+ years of network engineering, network operations, or network analysis experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise and tactical networking technologies.
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking
  • Experience with routing and switching
  • Experience with WAN/LAN architectures
  • Experience with network monitoring and management
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles
  • Experience with performance analysis and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for network architecture, operations, and performance analysis.
  • Evaluate existing network infrastructures and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Conduct network assessments, capability analyses, and operational studies.
  • Analyze network traffic, performance metrics, and security events to identify trends and risks.
  • Support network modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop technical solutions to meet operational and mission requirements.
  • Provide guidance on network design, routing, switching, wireless communications, and transport technologies.
  • Support cybersecurity compliance, risk management, and network defense activities.
  • Create technical reports, architecture diagrams, and executive briefings.
  • Advise program managers, engineers, government customers, and senior leadership on network-related matters.
  • Lead network assessment and analysis efforts.
