About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR seeks a Junior Functional Area Analyst to support the CAPE Joint Data Support (JDS) Division. CAPE JDS is a multi-source funded and OSD CAPE managed organization responsible for identifying, collecting, developing, analyzing, managing, and disseminating historical, current, and future years U.S. and Non-U.S. forces inventory, capabilities, and deployment data (including planning, programming, and acquisition data) supporting collaborative study teams guided by the Analysis Working Group (AWG). JDS develops standardized data products and analytic tools to support Joint analytic efforts focused on Senior Leader decision support. Additionally, JDS supports AWG led SCI/SAP/SAR studies and analyses. The Junior Functional Area Analyst, as part of a team will be responsible for analyzing actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a qualitative or quantitative, rational basis for decision-making, policies (e.g., Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leader Development, Material, Personnel, Facilities) or resource allocation in support of US Government policy goals and objectives. Utilizes judgment, experience and subject matter expertise, decision support tools, and basic to extremely complex modeling and measurement techniques, mathematics, statistical methods and other principles in the professional body of knowledge in determining solutions. Provides integral policy support in the capability development and integration of solutions and the conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation of modeling and simulation based decision support system applications. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. In addition, the Junior Functional Area Analyst must provide office administrative and logistics management support to his portfolio to include: Coordinate organizational calendar, project tracking, and conference schedules Provide support for meetings of management bodies held at JDS to include establishing the agenda, dates/times and locations of the meetings, scheduling conferences rooms, communicating this information to the membership, preparing and delivering briefings materials, tracking completion of the action items, posting all relevant materials to the JDS website Provide all necessary support to facilitate or present at meetings, seminars, symposia, workshops, working group meetings, and off-sites. Support includes facilitation, presentation, and participation as a subject matter expert, as well as, desktop computer operations, processing requests, scheduling, arranging for facilities, preparing materials to include read ahead materials, and recording and producing minutes as well as post-forum reports and briefings Coordinate conference room and VTC requirements Receive and handle visit access requests Provide front desk administration and security for the entrance to JDS facilities. Contractor will ensure entrance monitored by designated administrative staff during conferences or other periods of heavy visitor traffic Coordinate office material acquisition requirements

Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance to be considered for the position.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two (2) years of experience in at least one (1) in: Military or operations research-related field (e.g., U.S. current military operations, munitions, readiness, and deployment routines covering air/space, ground, special operations, and maritime domains)
  • Two (2) years of experience in at least one (1) in: Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
  • Two (2) years of experience in at least one (1) in: Force / capability development
  • Two (2) years of experience in at least one (1) in: Intelligence collection and analysis
  • Two (2) years of experience working with DoW stakeholders to collect, maintain, and refine complex datasets
  • Adeptness in interfacing with clients
  • Expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL)
