MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Functional Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting New York State Department of Heath Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) activities at Corporate Woods in Albany, NY. You will play a crucial role in managing schedules, reviewing project status, and understanding how to assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. You will actively monitor project progress with an emphasis on problem solving. You will be closely collaborating with project managers, functional managers, clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with the MS Office Products including MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Two (2) or more years’ related work experience in metrics data analysis
  • Must be familiar with the management, operational, and technical aspects of SDLC
  • Prior experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting measurable performance metrics
  • Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment.
  • Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in Medicaid or Healthcare Processing Systems

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of hands-on project scheduling experience using MS Project
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • MS Project Server experience (not required, highly desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with functional managers to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded project schedules using MS Project
  • Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports Gantt, milestone charts, and other program management tools used to support critical path analysis, near term tasks, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances
  • Supports the metrics team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects/programs
  • Follows schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures
  • Work in collaboration with project managers to drive efficiency in project execution and accuracy in project reporting
  • Schedule estimating and updating for new work and remaining work
  • Identify major milestones, decision points, project lifecycle and other project events
  • Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems
  • Create, analyze, and report weekly metrics to Project Managers and PMO Manager
  • Create and prepare SLIM scheduling reports
  • Maintain accurate records/paperwork
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as required to meet deadlines
