About The Position

This role is responsible for identifying and implementing security requirements to safeguard data and ensure appropriate information security controls are applied. The position conducts analysis of mission and customer needs to determine functional and testing requirements, collaborates with security control assessors on system evaluations, and supports system integration efforts. Additional responsibilities include performing functional analyses to define necessary tasks and dependencies, identifying required resources, and maintaining the security posture of Information Systems. The role also supports the development and management of System Security Plans (SSPs) and ensures compliance with applicable security policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering.
• Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) with at least one (1) year of hands-on experience applying its principles.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of Functional Analyst experience may be substituted.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.
• This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional analyses to define critical cybersecurity tasks and their interrelationships.
• Analyze mission and customer requirements to determine system testing needs.
• Identify the resources needed to create, register, and assign System Security Plans (SSPs) in coordination with Delegated Authorizing Officials (DAOs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), and System Owners.
• Collaborate with Security Control Assessors to determine and execute system testing requirements.
• Maintain the security posture of Information Systems by ensuring adherence to security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support System Security Planning activities and work with engineering teams on system integration efforts.
• Review, maintain, and update organizational documentation related to cybersecurity requirements.
