About The Position

This role provides comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Responsibilities include managing IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and supporting daily operations across client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments. The position delivers both Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, resolving technical issues, assisting users, and maintaining consistent communication with agency leadership and internal stakeholders. The role also involves configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, enhancing system performance, and optimizing resource utilization.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitution: An additional four (4) years of Systems Administration experience may be used in place of a bachelor's degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.
  • DOD 8570 Certification
  • This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage daily configuration and operational activities of IT systems.
  • Assist users with accessing and effectively using IT resources.
  • Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 identification, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Monitor, maintain, and resolve issues across client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments.
  • Communicate escalation updates and system status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system performance, resource utilization, and support capacity planning initiatives.
  • Apply in-depth troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex IT system issues.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management for escalated issues.
  • Support dispatch systems and hardware troubleshooting throughout the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, including installation, troubleshooting, network configuration, and applying enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
