Fullstack Software Engineer
About The Position
Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed AI startup reimagining how product and engineering teams collaborate. They are building an AI-native, multiplayer-first documentation and alignment platform—designed to eliminate coordination overhead and replace traditional tools with intelligent, real-time collaboration systems. Founded by a former CPO-level executive from leading tech companies and backed by top-tier investors, the company is assembling a small, high-caliber team to build a category-defining product at the intersection of AI, devtools, and productivity software.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in frontend or frontend-leaning full-stack engineering
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and React (Next.js preferred)
- Experience building complex, user-facing products (editors, collaboration tools, or similar)
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
- Strong product intuition and focus on user experience
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of features
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Experience building real-time or multiplayer applications (WebSockets, CRDTs, etc.)
- Experience at both Big Tech and startups (ideal trajectory)
- Familiarity with AI-powered product development or LLM integrations
- Experience with modern frontend tooling (Redux, design systems, component libraries)
- Strong academic background (STEM from top-tier institutions)
- Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch)
Responsibilities
- Own frontend-heavy product features end-to-end, from ideation through deployment
- Build complex, interactive user interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Develop and scale a real-time, multiplayer AI-native document editor
- Integrate frontend systems with backend AI services and APIs
- Contribute to frontend architecture, design systems, and technical strategy
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leadership
- Work in a high-autonomy environment, taking ownership of ambiguous problems
- Rapidly prototype and ship features leveraging modern AI development tools
