Fullstack Software Engineer/Generalist Software Engineer (AI / Agentic Systems)
About The Position
We are seeking a highly capable Generalist Software Engineer to join our lean, fast-moving team at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex, ambiguous problems using first-principles thinking and are excited about building foundational systems that push the boundaries of agentic AI. You will play a critical role in developing our "World Engine"—a sophisticated, interconnected digital environment that enables AI agents to learn, reason, and interact within simulated worlds. Your work will directly influence the next generation of AI-powered products and autonomous systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in: TypeScript React Python
- Proven track record of shipping user-facing products and features end-to-end.
- Experience designing scalable software systems and distributed applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply first-principles thinking to complex challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building AI, LLM-powered, or agentic applications.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning concepts and AI training environments.
- Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, tool-calling frameworks, or AI agents.
- Previous experience at a high-growth VC-backed startup or leading technology company (FAANG or equivalent).
- Demonstrated career progression through promotions, increased ownership, or technical leadership responsibilities.
- Contributions to open-source projects, AI research, or personal technical projects.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar.
- Exposure to reinforcement learning, RLHF, or simulation-based environments.
- Startup founding experience or early-stage company experience.
- Active GitHub portfolio demonstrating AI-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale user-facing products and platform capabilities from concept to production.
- Develop and maintain highly performant applications using TypeScript, React, and Python.
- Build infrastructure and tooling that support AI agents, simulation environments, and intelligent workflows.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and product stakeholders to solve novel technical challenges.
- Architect scalable backend services, APIs, and data systems to support AI-driven applications.
- Experiment with and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), agent frameworks, and reinforcement learning concepts.
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to overall product and engineering strategy.
- Take ownership of projects throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and developer productivity.
