About The Position

Fullstack Engineer (Founder’s Office) at Bioscope.AI, an early-stage precision medicine company. This role acts as the founder's technical right-hand, bridging ideation and the core engineering team. The engineer will take rapid prototypes and visionary demos, inject engineering principles, clean up architecture, and translate them into sensible technical foundations for productization. The focus is on closing the gap between prototypes and a viable engineering roadmap, operating in an unstructured, high-trust environment directly with the founder. This is a hybrid role requiring proximity to Park City, UT.

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of fullstack engineering experience with a strong frontend bias.
• Expertise in modern UI frameworks (e.g., React).
• Proficiency across the stack (Node, Python, AWS) to spin up functional, end-to-end applications.
• Ability to balance speed with quality in prototyping.
• Understanding of when to write quick-and-dirty code versus applying structural rigor for handoff.
• Relentless problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
• Comfort working with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI development tooling.
• Exceptional professionalism, maturity, and communication skills for intimate work with leadership.
• Must be located in the Park City, UT area or within a very reasonable commuting distance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a "Hacker in Residence," Founder's Associate, or rapid prototyping capacity at an early-stage startup.
• Background or strong interest in healthtech, genomics, or precision medicine.

Responsibilities

• Harden the Vision: Refactor founder's early-stage AI and product demos into clean, workable code, establishing a solid baseline for the core engineering team.
• Bridge the Gap: Act as the technical translator between the founder's sandbox experiments and the broader product and engineering organization.
• Embrace the Unstructured: Navigate a fluid, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and a "get shit done" mentality.
• Build Frontend-Heavy Foundations: Refine UI/UX, wire up backend APIs, cloud integrations, and AI models, with a strong frontend focus.
• Operate with Ultimate Trust: Work closely with the founder, handling sensitive IP and company strategy with discretion and reliability.
