About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Decatur County, Kansas, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will conduct brief, exterior visits to confirm property status and report on general conditions. You will manage your own routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections designed for speed, typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site. The role involves determining property occupancy status, capturing photos, and submitting reports using mobile applications, while maintaining reliability and meeting deadlines. This position requires significant driving in a rural county with longer distances between stops, making a fuel-efficient vehicle and comfort with country roads valuable.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
