ME326 - Full-Time Nanny - Upper East Side

British American Household StaffingNew York, NY
$35 - $40Onsite

About The Position

A warm, busy, and professional family on the Upper East Side is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny for their newborn son, born in April 2026. This is a long-term position for a collaborative, flexible, and travel-ready candidate who can grow with the family. This role will start in July with a week overlapping with the Baby Nurse. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00/8:30 AM – 6:00/6:30 PM, with flexibility for occasional longer days and overnight coverage when one or both parents are traveling. Both parents run their own businesses and maintain demanding, fast-paced schedules. The family is looking for a true team player—someone who takes a holistic approach to the household, understands the importance of supporting both the child and the parents, and brings a warm, thoughtful, and proactive presence to the home. While the role is primarily focused on childcare, the ideal candidate will be happy to pitch in where needed, maintain organization, and keep shared spaces tidy (a full-time housekeeper is already employed). Must also be okay with a dog.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional childcare experience, ideally with infants/newborns
  • Strong understanding of newborn care, routines, and developmental milestones
  • Must be comfortable working in a walk-up building (physically capable)
  • Open to a full-time, live-out role with flexibility for occasional overnights
  • Must be passport-ready and able to travel internationally (frequent trips to Mexico and Italy)
  • Comfortable with 10–15 trips per year, including occasional last-minute travel
  • Willing to provide overnight care when parents are traveling
  • Okay with a dog
