About The Position

A warm family based on the Upper East Side are seeking an experienced, engaging, and proactive live-out Nanny/Family Assistant for their 2.5-year-old son. This is a long-term position for someone who is looking to become a trusted part of the family and who can confidently take ownership of the child's care while also providing light family-assistant support. The family will guarantee 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Monday and Wednesday will typically be longer days, approximately 6:30am–6:30pm, while Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will have later starts, generally around 2/3pm–7:30pm. Some flexibility around the exact schedule will be appreciated. The family’s preference is for a live-out candidate; however, for added flexibility, they can offer private accommodation on the evenings prior to the two longer working days. Staying overnight is entirely optional, and no childcare duties or overnight responsibilities would be expected outside of the nanny’s scheduled working hours. Their son currently attends a local school from approximately 9am–12pm. On Monday and Wednesday, the nanny will take full responsibility for his day, including his morning routine, nursery drop-off and pick-up, meals, activities, and evening routine. During nursery hours, the nanny will assist with child-related duties, meal preparation, and light family-assistant tasks. The family is ideally looking for someone to start by October.
