About The Position

For the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking a faithful, skilled, and mission-driven full-time Math Teacher for grades 3–8. This teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality math instruction using the Singapore Math approach (or demonstrating a strong willingness to be trained in it). The ideal candidate values conceptual understanding over rote memorization alone, fosters perseverance and disciplined thinking, and seeks to form students not only academically but morally and spiritually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Teaching experience at the elementary or middle school level preferred.
  • Experience with Singapore Math strongly preferred; willingness to receive training required.
  • Strong content knowledge in upper elementary and middle school mathematics (including pre-algebra).
  • Ability to teach for conceptual depth and mathematical reasoning.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Clear and confident communication with students and parents.
  • A growth mindset and openness to ongoing formation in classical Catholic education.
  • A practicing Christian committed to living in harmony with Church teaching.
  • A joyful, disciplined, and mission-driven educator.
  • A desire to help students see the beauty and order inherent in mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Teach mathematics to students in grades 3–8 using the Singapore Math methodology (concrete–pictorial–abstract progression).
  • Develop students’ conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning.
  • Maintain high academic standards while differentiating instruction to support diverse learners.
  • Provide structured practice, review, and mastery-based assessment.
  • Integrate habits of precision, order, and logical thinking consistent with classical education.
  • Collaborate to ensure vertical alignment and continuity across grade levels.
  • Establish a peaceful, structured, and joyful classroom environment.
  • Foster perseverance, attentiveness, humility, and intellectual courage.
  • Model virtuous behavior and uphold clear behavioral expectations.
  • Integrate prayer and Catholic identity naturally into classroom life.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
  • Maintain accurate grade records and provide timely feedback.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding academic progress and student growth.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, school liturgies, and community events.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to support the school’s classical curriculum and mission.
  • Pursue professional development in Singapore Math and classical pedagogy as needed.
