About The Position

The Full-Time Flyers Club Lead supports the daily operations of an assigned before and after school program, helping to ensure a safe, high-quality, and engaging experience for all participants. This position assists with implementing developmentally appropriate programming, supervising children and staff, maintaining compliance with program policies and safety procedures, and fostering a structured, inclusive environment. The Full-Time Lead provides guidance and support to Part-Time Leads and Aides, collaborates with families and school staff, and assumes leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Site Supervisor to ensure smooth program operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree, or minimum of 18 years old
  • Experience working with children in a similar setting
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office software applications, Google applications and basic technology

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and compassionate environment for all participants.
  • Plan, organize, and implement daily activities and lesson plans that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Lead group activities, games, arts and crafts, and enrichment experiences both indoors and outdoors.
  • Promote positive social behavior using effective guidance and behavior management strategies.
  • Support the implementation of individual goals, accommodation plans, and behavior support strategies for children as needed.
  • Supervise children and monitor program areas to ensure participant safety at all times.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor with the daily operations of the program and assume leadership responsibilities in their absence.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to Part-Time Leads and Part-Time Aides to ensure quality program delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and orderly environment.
  • Identify and promptly report broken equipment, hazards, or unsafe situations.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and critical situations.
  • Administer medication and maintain required documentation in accordance with department and district policies.
  • Model respectful, professional, and caring relationships with children, families, staff, school personnel, and the community.
  • Communicate regularly with families and school staff to support participant success and positive program experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Site Supervisor and program staff to ensure effective program operations and a cohesive team environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policies and procedures.
  • Record accurate attendance and maintain required participant documentation.
  • Collect and share relevant information to support individualized planning and inclusive practices for all children.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required training, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as a positive role model and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Actively participate in a variety of activities while supervising children.
  • Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Use visual and auditory awareness to respond appropriately to critical situations and emergencies.
  • Perform duties both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Adhere to all Lindbergh School District policies, procedures, and Flyers Club guidelines.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support Flyers Club operations.
