About The Position

This position is a full time position that will offer 30-35 hours/week between the hours of 7AM-6PM Monday through Friday. Specific schedules will be discussed in the interview process. As a Resilience Coach, you will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive. This is an active, hands-on role that combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support. We are looking for positive, energetic team members who enjoy working with school-age children and creating meaningful connections every day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Candidates must be 21 years old or older.
  • At least 240 hours of experience as a school-age program leader, public or private school teacher, student teacher, coach, camp counselor, mentor in a community based organization, or equivalent experience in another approved setting.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
  • Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
  • Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • The Registry Child Care Administrator Credential
  • The Registry Afterschool & Youth Development Credential
  • Twelve credits in leadership, management, education, physical education, community health, child guidance, recreation, psychology, social work, or juvenile justice
  • A combination of 2 noncredit department approved courses in school-age care and 6 credits in leadership, management, education, physical education, community health, child guidance, recreation, psychology, social work, or juvenile justice
  • An educator license issued by the Wisconsin department of public instruction or the appropriate authority in another state to be a kindergarten, early childhood, middle school, or high school regular or special education teacher

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
  • Serve as a role model by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience.
  • Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
  • Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities.
  • Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
  • Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
  • Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills.
  • Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
  • Support student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
  • Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.
