The Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) AmeriCorps Fellows serve in communities across Northern California to build volunteer infrastructure and strengthen community engagement within nonprofit and local government agencies (Host Sites). Fellows help create more connected and resilient neighborhoods by addressing social isolation, supporting climate action, and increasing disaster preparedness. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in volunteer management, community engagement, program development, and nonprofit leadership while making a lasting impact. Throughout the service term, Fellows receive extensive training, professional development, and mentorship. N2N is an AmeriCorps program that places Fellows at nonprofit and government agencies across Northern California to build sustainable community engagement initiatives. Each Fellow serves at one Host Site, working primarily behind the scenes to strengthen volunteer programs, develop Neighborhood Leader initiatives, and create systems that support long-term community engagement. Fellows also engage directly with community members to build relationships, understand local needs, and support volunteer activities. N2N Fellows serve as part of a 20-member cohort, working in pairs at Host Sites throughout the region while participating in regular collaboration, professional development, and AmeriCorps training.
