About The Position

Build the applications layer that turns sensor data into real insights utilities use to manage the power grid. The successful Full Stack Software Engineering (Applications) Co-op will help develop our cloud-hosted and on-prem products that turn real-time sensor data into actionable insights for utilities. You’ll work across the stack, from Python data pipelines to React/TypeScript web apps, all while contributing to a product that’s reshaping how the electric grid is monitored and managed. Requirements

Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree
Understanding of object-oriented and functional design principles, relational databases, distributed software design, and Agile methodologies for team software development
Strong and disciplined approach to test-driven software development
Initiative, creative problem-solving skills and team collaboration
Javascript & Python (required)

Nice To Haves

Typescript/SQL/React/Node (preferred)
Experience working on web application front ends + RESTful API backends
Cloud infrastructure; AWS (preferred), Azure and/or Google Cloud (Optionally)
Math and science Python libraries like Pandas or NumPy

Responsibilities

Design, build, test and maintain software applications and internal tools to support data health and application administration
Integrate with internal and external APIs, cloud services, and relational databases
Contribute to new system design and proof-of-concept exploration
