About The Position

In the face of rising threats like severe storms and wildfires, increasing pressure on affordability, and unprecedented demands for system expansion, Treeswift empowers energy companies to modernize their field work to meet the growth and challenges ahead. To accomplish our mission, we deploy our sensors into our customers' field operations, typically on backpacks or vehicles. The resulting trove of LiDAR and imagery data is processed through our AI models to deliver actionable analytics through our web platform. To date, our technology has enabled utilities to reduce wildfire, regulatory and outage risk from vegetation, avoid delays and cost overruns in new construction, and accelerate recovery from severe storms. Since our first utility pilot in June 2024, we have rapidly expanded and now work with three of the five largest utilities in the United States and are expanding across new customers and use cases. To tackle this challenge, we are bringing together a team of mission-driven experts with deep industry experience in robotics (Penn, Caltech, CMU) and enterprise software development (Palantir, Stripe, Oracle, MongoDB). We have raised funding from leading investors including Penny Pritzker’s Inspired Capital. Treeswift is headquartered in Manhattan, and maintains an office in Philadelphia. We also have some customer-facing team members based closer to our customer sites (i.e. Bay Area). About the role You are a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer. You will: Develop new features and use cases in our web platform in close partnership with early adopters. We launched our web platform last fall and have only scratched the surface of what’s possible. In this role you will both stand-up entire new workflows from scratch, as well as iterate and improve on the existing foundation. You will partner closely with some of the largest utilities in the country and contribute to efforts to develop new workflows in work planning, construction and disaster response. Help us scale. We are moving quickly since launching our web platform last fall and need to introduce the right-level of tools and processes to keep moving quickly. This is an ideal role for you if you are excited to work on greenfield scope, but also enjoy standing up best practices (i.e. CI/CD processes and tooling) to help a small software engineering organization continue to grow effectively. Stay curious, collaborative and customer-focused. You will join a small team that takes on challenges across disciplines from hardware engineering, to machine learning, software engineering and coordinating large data collections in the field. Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or other similar degree.
4+ years of full-stack software development experience.
Built web applications in a commercial context, both in early stage fast-moving settings and at larger user scales with meaningful reliability and security requirements.
Proficiency with Python Typescript, and React.
Excited to own end-to-end feature development independently.
Fan of front-end work and motivated to deliver a high-quality UI/UX.
Not afraid to pick up new skills or interact across the technical stack to do so.
Prepared to contribute to early decisions around our tooling and architecture.
Comfortable standing up CI/CD processes/tooling from scratch.
Excited about collaborating across disciplines and upskilling others to contribute.
