Utility Profit is hiring a mid-to-senior Full Stack Software Engineer to take customer and operational problems from early ideas through reliable production features. The role spans React interfaces, TypeScript and Node.js services, databases, utility-provider integrations, and AI-powered automation. AI is central to both the product and the engineering workflow: the team uses and evaluates coding agents and frontier models for research, implementation, debugging, and review, while engineers remain responsible for architecture, code comprehension, and verification. Work includes customer-facing applications, partner and operations tools, provider integrations, and AI-assisted workflows. Examples include converting recorded browser sessions into automation, helping engineers investigate recurring automation failures, and building APIs and dashboards for observability. The position is fully remote and open worldwide, with a preference for candidates in Mexico or the United States for collaboration and time-zone overlap. It is an independent contractor role and does not include company-sponsored employee benefits. Utility Profit observes U.S. company holidays, when offices and regular business operations may be closed.
