About The Position

Our client is building an AI-powered voice automation platform designed to transform how businesses handle phone-based communication. The platform enables companies to automate customer conversations, sales interactions, recruitment workflows, and call center operations using highly capable AI voice agents. The company has achieved significant organic growth and revenue traction while maintaining a small, highly technical engineering organization. The team has scaled rapidly while remaining focused on product velocity, customer impact, and engineering excellence. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll join a small, high-impact engineering team where engineers have significant ownership over product development, architecture, and technical direction. You'll work closely with the founding team to build scalable full-stack systems spanning polished frontend experiences, backend APIs, AI orchestration, telephony integrations, analytics, and infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work on a category-defining voice AI product while owning projects from architecture through production and directly influencing the company's technology and product direction.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong full-stack engineering background
Experience working across both frontend and backend systems
Experience building and shipping customer-facing software products
Experience working at multiple startups, ideally YC-backed or high-growth technology companies, preferred
Experience at a fast-growing startup with rapid promotions and increasing technical ownership preferred
Experience owning projects end-to-end from architecture through production
Experience building production software in fast-paced environments
Experience working directly with product or customer-facing teams
Experience operating with significant autonomy and ownership
Experience working in environments with rapid deployment cycles
Strong product mindset and understanding of software quality standards
Strong understanding of modern web application architecture
Strong React experience

Responsibilities

Build and ship full-stack product features across the platform
Develop polished and intuitive frontend experiences using React and TypeScript
Build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, and other backend technologies
Develop core voice AI product capabilities including prompt orchestration and conversational workflows
Build dashboards, analytics systems, and customer-facing product experiences
Build and maintain telephony integrations supporting AI-powered voice conversations
Design and implement scalable distributed systems supporting high-volume AI workloads
Build production APIs and backend services supporting customer-facing applications
Own projects end-to-end from architecture and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration
Make architectural decisions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI systems
Build reliable DevOps and deployment workflows supporting rapid product iteration
Work closely with the founding team to define product requirements and technical direction
Translate customer needs and feedback into product improvements
Collaborate directly with customers during onboarding and technical implementation
Debug production issues and improve system reliability and performance
Build tools and workflows that allow customers to activate and deploy AI voice solutions quickly
Design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex AI and telephony workflows
Build backend systems supporting prompt orchestration, call handling, analytics, and integrations
Integrate third-party APIs and external systems
Work across frontend and backend systems rather than operating within a narrowly defined engineering scope
Build systems capable of supporting large volumes of AI-driven conversations
Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience
Contribute to engineering standards, architecture, and development processes
Work closely with other engineers to maintain a high-quality and collaborative engineering culture
Rapidly prototype and iterate on new product ideas
Operate with a founder-level ownership mentality in a fast-moving environment
Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, product workflows, and customer experience
Help define the technical foundation of a rapidly scaling voice AI platform
