The ideal candidate will provide expert technical leadership within a highly skilled, multi-discipline software development team, focusing on designing, building, and optimizing software applications for advanced analytics, machine learning, and mission-critical decision support. This role demands deep technical expertise, leadership in software and data architecture, and the ability to work effectively within classified programs. The position includes serving as the enterprise architect responsible for maintaining an enterprise architecture and target-state blueprint, ensuring all modernization efforts align with approved enterprise standards, integration patterns, and strategic roadmaps, and preventing fragmented or duplicative solutions.

Requirements

5 years of experience working with a modern programming languages (Python, Kotlin, Java, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript)
Experience working with RDBMS's and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience with a modern front-end framework (Vue, React, Angular)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
Experience with UI/UX design principles
Experience with containerization capabilities such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and tools (Gitlab, Harbor, Nexus, Argo CD, etc.)

Responsibilities

Architect and implement software solutions that integrate data ingestion, transformation, and storage across multiple secure environments.
Design APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
Oversee design of data visualization interfaces to help analysts explore their data (front end development).
Design and deploy solutions consisting of front-end and back-end components.
Oversee data workflows for performance, reliability, and security in compliance with government standards.
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, data governance, and information assurance requirements in all development activities.
Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team designing and deploying software.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and data integration issues across distributed systems.
Work with customer in Agile software development process to understand and develop software and project requirements.
