Reframe Systems is a Physical AI and robotics company focused on making high-performance housing attainable and abundant. They utilize a vertically integrated delivery model and automated microfactories to produce climate-resilient homes and buildings with increased speed and predictability. Their volumetric modular buildings are manufactured in their Andover, MA microfactory, with expansion plans across North America. The company is building a system that balances repeatability with site-responsive design, allowing for adaptable homes. Their cross-disciplinary team includes experts in architecture, robotics, design engineering, software, factory operations, and field delivery, all working together to transform housing delivery. Reframe Systems aims to create a smarter, more sustainable housing system that empowers people. This role is for a Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for rethinking construction project management from start to finish. The construction industry typically relies on manual handoffs between different stages (customer conversation, scope, estimate, purchase orders, production schedule), leading to inefficiencies, schedule slips, and margin loss. Reframe Systems is building an alternative: a single, authoritative representation of a project that all downstream functions utilize. This ensures that sales, estimating, procurement, and the factory all operate from the same source of truth, with changes propagating automatically. The engineer will collaborate with the design automation platform, which converts building designs into manufacturable models and production plans, and the factory software team to integrate real manufacturing data into upstream models. This integration is crucial for the company's flywheel effect, where actual production data (cycle times, quantities, labor) informs future project scoping, estimating, and procurement, leading to greater accuracy. This is a hands-on position requiring end-to-end delivery of software solutions, from problem definition to deployment. The engineer will work closely with estimators, buyers, and project teams, becoming an expert in their workflows. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling ambiguous, high-stakes business challenges and transforming them into functional software solutions.
