Requirements

  • Five years of professional software development with track record of delivering production systems end-to-end required.
  • Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages.
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of API design, database optimization, and system architecture.
  • Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of secure coding practices and common application security vulnerabilities; demonstrated understanding of HIPAA/PHI handling requirements as applied to software development.
  • Above average technical skills, problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
  • Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and implements full stack solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Integrates AI/ML models and services into applications, partnering with AI/ML engineering on model behavior, deployment, and testing.
  • Works with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translates them into technical specifications.
  • Applies internal and industry development best practices across the full application stack, including testing and maintainability standards; performs peer reviews and contributes to technical documentation.
  • Applies modern development tools, including AI-assisted technologies, across the development lifecycle to improve delivery speed and solution quality.
  • Applies secure development practices and PHI/data privacy standards independently across the full application stack; identifies and remediates common security vulnerabilities.
  • Works on multiple deadline-driven projects, meeting service level agreements and ensuring technical and business requirements are met.
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex production issues; participates in incident response and contributes to root cause analysis.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing and contributes to the preparation of training materials to support organizational adoption of new solutions.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders, explaining technical concepts in plain language for non-technical staff.
  • Mentors team members through pairing, feedback, and technical guidance.
  • Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
