As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will help build and evolve cloud-based applications that enable scalable analytics, reliable data access, and resilient services across mission platforms. This role blends modern cloud development, microservices architecture, and collaborative engineering practices. Schedule and Work Details Location: Government site in the Fort Meade area Schedule: Full-time, standard day schedule Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required) You’ll spend your time building modern cloud applications that support mission operations. Some days focus on front-end development, creating intuitive user interfaces that allow analysts and operators to interact with complex data. Other days focus on backend services, APIs, and database integrations that power those interfaces. Your work will include designing microservices, implementing REST APIs, integrating multiple data sources, and deploying services into cloud environments. You’ll collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into working software while maintaining high standards for reliability, performance, and security. Expect to troubleshoot issues, improve existing services, support CI/CD pipelines, and continuously refine system architecture as the platform evolves.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance with CI polygraph issued within the last 5 years
  • Full stack development experience supporting cloud-based applications
  • Java development experience
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React
  • Experience working with GitLab and modern CI/CD environments
  • Familiarity with build and artifact tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus
  • Experience working with modern data stores including relational, NoSQL, and object-based databases
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into software design and implementation
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting software defects in operational systems
  • Experience developing database queries and integrating data repositories
  • Ability to contribute to testing, documentation, and system sustainment activities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Spring and Spring Boot development
  • Experience working with container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation
  • Experience working with AWS managed services
  • Experience with system requirements decomposition and release planning
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience working within Agile development environments
  • Familiarity with FOSS and GOTS technologies
  • Experience building Spring Boot microservices and 12-Factor cloud applications
  • Experience working with JSON or BSON serialization formats
