Apply to join us (Single Family Acquisitions division at Freddie Mac) to work on development, testing, maintenance and support for Java/J2EE applications. In this role, you will be responsible for overall project delivery and operations. Our Impact: Our Single-Family Acquisitions applications are the technology solutions that enable business operations for the Single Family Quality Control Tech block. Your Impact: Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy and support enterprise-level applications. Position requires development and testing (automation and manual) activities, based on the need for each sprint. Deliver projects using Agile software development methodologies. Design and implement complex enterprise integrations with industry standard technologies. Participate in the day-to-day activities of the development team. Build and maintain test automation suite. Support planning activities, such as impact assessments, level of effort analysis and developer task assignments. Conduct and participate in detailed design reviews and validate that the design follows the approved architecture. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure best practices are being followed. Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to ramp up new development team members. Participate in on-call production support rotation. Jump into troubleshooting sessions to resolve production issues, and drive issue to resolution.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Information Technology.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent working experience.
  • Hands-on experience in design, implementation and production support of Java/J2EE applications, Angular, Java Script, Python, AWS, relational databases, SQL, GitHub Co-Pilot.
  • Hands-on experience in Spring Framework (Spring Boot), CI/CD frameworks, Apigee, Autosys/Shell scripting.
  • Hands-on Selenium and/or Cypress development experience, for test automation.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to analyze system functionality with customer and resolve production issues.
  • Experience applying Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles.
  • Practical experience designing and building enterprise and/or distributed systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to analytically address complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw quality conclusions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, some tight deadlines and with ambiguity on some projects.
  • Experience with systems and software architecture.
