Full Stack Software Developer - Hybrid OR Remote
About The Position
Redfin’s Rentals Team is seeking a mid-level Full-Stack Software Developer to build features for users’ rental search journeys. The team develops the Rental Details Page and Search map, high-traffic parts of Redfin.com, and builds consumer-facing interfaces, data ingestion pipelines, and data services. The work reaches millions of users and spans multiple critical platforms and services. The role develops responsive, resilient, scalable, high-quality software using React-JS, Java, AWS, and other tools and libraries. It also involves using AI to develop solutions, innovations, and efficiencies as the organization adopts an AI-first development mindset. The developer balances infrastructure investments with pragmatic solutions for business needs and collaborates with engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and deliver projects, contributing as both a team member and feature lead. The position is hybrid, with office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Seattle, San Francisco, or Detroit and remote work on other days. Highly qualified candidates outside those areas may be considered for a fully remote arrangement. The role may include an on-call rotation supporting production systems, potentially including nights and weekends; scheduling and frequency depend on team needs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack software development experience specifically with ReactJS and Java.
- Hands-on professional experience developing and leveraging AI for software efficiencies.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
- Ownership mindset and ability to overcome hurdles to deliver high-impact features.
- Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity, including making recommendations, creating solutions, and driving outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
