About The Position

Redfin’s Rentals Team is seeking a mid-level Full Stack Software Developer to build features that support users’ rental search journeys. The team develops the Rental Details Page and Search map, among the highest-traffic page types on Redfin.com. Its full-stack work spans consumer-facing interfaces, data-ingestion pipelines, data services, and critical platforms. The team’s features serve millions of customers daily, and performance is a priority across its highly visible products. In this role, you will develop responsive, resilient, scalable, high-quality software using React-JS, Java, AWS, and other tools and libraries. You will leverage AI to develop solutions, innovations, and efficiencies as the organization moves toward an AI-first development mindset. You will balance infrastructure investments with pragmatic solutions for business needs, and collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and develop projects. You will contribute to the team and lead features, owning work from end to end. The role is hybrid, with in-office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Seattle, San Francisco, or Detroit offices and remote work on other days. Highly qualified candidates outside those areas may be considered for remote-only work. The position may include participation in an on-call rotation supporting production systems, potentially including nights and weekends; frequency and scheduling depend on team needs. The compensation range is $139,100–$170,100. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and other employment-related benefits.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional full-stack software development experience specifically with ReactJS and Java.
Hands-on professional experience developing and leveraging AI for software efficiencies.
A proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
An ownership mindset and the ability to overcome hurdles to deliver high-impact features.
Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity, including making recommendations, creating solutions, and driving outcomes.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
