About The Position

Wärtsilä Voyage, a leading technology company in the Marine and Energy markets, is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to contribute to the development of their port management information system. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science or other related field of study.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience with professional front and back-end development.
• Professional expertise in underlying technologies including C#, .Net, SQL, and TypeScript.
• Experience working with SQL-based relational databases.
• Experience developing complex software projects in commercial settings.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Ability to embrace a fast-moving environment and comfortable with quickly adapting to changing priorities.
• Successful applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members through SCRUM to discuss, and design agile solutions for real world problems.
• Translate this into implementation and build upon software.
• Design, develop, test and deploy new code.
• Prioritize and manage development and issue resolution activities.
• Participate in our agile development process.
• Implement application monitoring tools and proactively monitor application performance.
• Work on all aspects of our stack.
• Learn about the maritime world and incorporate this understanding into code.
