About The Position

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Developer with excellent technical skills and communication abilities to join our Platform squad. This role involves working in a serverless ecosystem of microservices deployed on AWS, with a strong emphasis on Typescript for frontend, backend, and infrastructure-as-code. The Platform squad is responsible for optimizing cloud infrastructure, building internal libraries and DevOps guidelines, crafting and optimizing public APIs, and designing robust data pipelines. The role also involves working on a product used by loyal customers daily and collaborating with all development squads.

Requirements

At least five (5) years of experience in the Javascript web ecosystem (Typescript is a big advantage).
At least five (5) years of experience designing, deploying and maintaining high-availability systems in the cloud.
Ability to deal with uncertainty and bring order to fuzzy challenges.
Outgoing and collaborative personality, eager to work with different stakeholders to solve complex problems.
Strong product mindset.
Experience with public API design (GraphQL is a big advantage).

Experience with GraphQL.

Several personal projects exhibiting good coding skills.

Responsibilities

Optimize the availability, performance and security of our cloud infrastructure.
Build internal libraries and DevOps guidelines to help Engineering squads own and maintain their infrastructure.
Craft and optimize our public APIs to provide a stellar developer experience to our technical customers.
Design and maintain robust data pipelines and platforms used by both internal teams and external customers.
Research and develop technical solutions and best practices that improve squads' development, release and maintenance experience.
Work on a product that is heavily used every day by loyal customers.
Collaborate with all development squads.
Be involved in all aspects of the gaiia product.
