About The Position

This is a Full Stack Software Developer III position requiring onsite work in San Diego two days a week for a contract duration of 3+ months. The role involves working closely with product and development teams to create an exceptional user experience, building integration and unit tests, and implementing proof of concepts, prototypes, and production-grade software within an agile development environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining and supporting existing software and hardware systems, assisting with troubleshooting and bug fixes, and taking ownership of the codebase with a focus on continuous improvement and rapid deployment.

Requirements

• Java

• Strong programming skills including software engineering methodologies and best practices.
• REST/API development.
• Strong experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience working in a Linux development environment.
• Strong experience with relational databases, and specifically MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis.
• Excellent HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.
• Experience in consuming RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product and development teams to create an amazing user experience.

• Assist support staff and team members in trouble-shooting software issues and implementing bug fixes.
• Takes ownership of the code base.
• Work to continually improve code quality, and get bugs fixed and deployed rapidly.
