Full Stack Product Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Product Engineer to support the modernization of CERS within the Safety, Environmental, and Compliance department. This individual will join an established Agile delivery team working to transform complex legacy applications and workflows into scalable, maintainable, and cloud-ready solutions. The engineer will work across the full technology stack, including Angular front-end applications, .NET APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. The role also requires using generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve analysis, coding, testing, documentation, automation, and solution design.
Requirements
- 7–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack application development experience.
- Advanced hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs, backend services, and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript.
- Strong database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other SQL databases.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications or workflows.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with automated testing, debugging, and production support.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and Git-based development.
- Ability to design secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Automated testing experience using Playwright.
- Knowledge of generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering.
- Experience building or integrating agentic AI workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy CERS applications, integrations, business processes, and technical dependencies.
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, UX designers, vendors, and engineers to refine requirements.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications, APIs, data services, and system integrations.
- Build responsive front-end applications using Angular.
- Develop secure and scalable APIs and backend services using .NET.
- Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL-based databases, and MongoDB.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate code development, testing, documentation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Apply generative AI concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and cloud-based AI platforms.
- Identify opportunities to simplify legacy processes through automation and AI.
- Create and maintain automated tests, including end-to-end testing using Playwright.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Design solutions that support small, safe, and incremental production releases.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Address technical debt and improve application security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and develop prototypes or proofs of concept.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, technical discussions, and release planning.
