About The Position

This role requires a Full Stack Java Lead Developer with 8-10 years of experience to lead development efforts, provide technical guidance, and work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing and architecting enterprise-scale Java applications, developing scalable REST services, building modern React-based user interfaces, and deploying solutions on containerized platforms like OpenShift and Kubernetes. Experience in Banking, Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Risk Management, and large-scale data-driven applications is preferred. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience across all layers of application development, including backend services, frontend development, database design, CI/CD implementation, and cloud-native deployments. The individual must be capable of developing reusable components, designing scalable solutions, implementing best practices, and mentoring team members. Strong communication skills and the ability to serve as a technical point of contact for applications are essential. This position is on-site in Cleveland, OH, 5 days per week, and does not offer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise Java/J2EE applications.
  • Architect and implement RESTful APIs, including authorization and security controls.
  • Develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript, Ag Grid, Axios, and Material UI.
  • Create and optimize database objects, queries, and data integration solutions using Oracle and other relational databases.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, and Docker.
  • Deploy and support applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms using Helm Charts.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to deliver business solutions.
  • Lead complex problem-solving activities and provide technical guidance to development teams.
  • Ensure adherence to development standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Support application performance tuning, troubleshooting, testing, and production implementations.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Act as a technical lead and single point of contact (SPOC) for assigned applications and initiatives.
