About The Position

Hercules is looking for a senior or staff level full-stack software engineer to help build the future of AI software development. The role involves building and owning features across various Hercules products, including the AI Agent, App Builder, Hosting infrastructure, SDK, and internal AI coding harness. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technologies and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Requirements

Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos.
Product/design sense with a track record of independently shipping features to customers.
Strong experience with SaaS features: billing (subscriptions, entitlements), identity (OAuth, RBAC, SSO/SAML), product analytics (A/B testing, feature flags), i18n, notifications for large user bases.
Experience with TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, Redis, and Temporal.
Ability to leverage AI to enhance workflow.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cloudflare, AWS, Clickhouse, Tailwind, IaC (CDK, Terraform), Docker, Otel, Hono, Drizzle ORM, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI Models.

Responsibilities

Build and own features across Hercules products, including AI Agent, App Builder, Hosting infrastructure, SDK, and internal AI coding harness.
Develop and maintain the AI harness for building full-stack applications.
Enhance the App Builder for easy app creation, preview, and deployment.
Scale and ensure reliability of hosting infrastructure for a large number of apps.
Integrate headless SaaS offerings like Hercules Commerce, Auth, CMS, Files & Media.
Improve the user-friendly experience with enterprise-grade security and reliability.
Contribute to the internal AI coding harness to increase output.
