About The Position

Netflix's mission is to entertain the world, and the Content & Business Products (CBP) Engineering teams are crucial in this endeavor. These teams develop and manage the products and services that optimize and automate the content creation process, encompassing content planning, financing, production, promotion, and distribution. They also support Netflix's enterprise needs in areas like Finance, Talent, Tech Support, and Customer Support to ensure seamless operations. The products built by CBP enable the entire content production workflow, from initial pitch to final playback, and introduce innovative methods for developing and managing entertainment at scale. The work of these teams is vital for supporting the creation of movies and TV series that captivate a global audience. Two specific CBP teams are hiring for this position: Localization Technology, which focuses on global reach through content localization (dubbing, subtitles, metadata) and leverages AI for accessibility improvements, and Content Middleware Infrastructure (MWI), which provides managed data, workflow, and communication platforms for the Connected Studio.

Requirements

• Experience crafting resilient, high-scale, low-latency microservices in production environments.
• Proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation using OO programming languages like Java, C#.
• Adept at building enterprise applications with HTML/JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS.
• Proven track record of resilient data modeling through understanding and translating business requirements to technical requirements and identifying entities and their relationships that will serve the business process needs.
• Experience working cross-functionally to build, test, deploy, and launch UIs that operationalize workflows at scale.
• Experience participating in on-call rotations and leading incident reviews.
